For me being an attorney is a profession - not a job. 

I have spent 30 years representing clients in their disputes.

I will be aggressive and determined in my representation of you.  Until recently I was  described as a pit-bull.  The 2008 Presidential campaign took the fun out of that. These days I prefer the description of "the attorney you don't want on the other side".

It's my responsibility to be sure that your position is forcefully presented to the other side, or the Court. 

Cases are rarely black and white.  I work closely with my clients. You allow me to master the special facts of your situtation. The outcome of every case depends on its facts.  Very early on I complete my legal research and conduct due diligence of the facts.  This process serves to bring us to a meeting of the minds on how we are going to proceed.

I discuss with you my assessment of the merits of your case. I am very forthright. Sometimes this will prompt you to give me additional facts, because you now understand how the strategy of your case is developing.  A fact, or piece of paper with your notes on it, that seemed unimportant, becomes critical. Sometimes you revise your expectations.

It is you, the client, who has to live with the choices that have to be made, it's my responsibility to see to it that you are comfortable with those choices because we have talked them through.
